Build a DIY Brand Kit in Canva
October 15 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am CDT
FreeBuild a DIY Brand Kit in Canva – Learn how to create a strategic brand system for your logo, colors, and typography to elevate your business from DIY to PRO.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to think like a professional brand designer while building your own DIY brand kit in Canva. We’ll begin by breaking down what a brand kit is and why it’s essential for creating a strong, recognizable presence. You’ll see the difference between inconsistent and consistent visuals, then explore “the creative curve”—a process that takes your ideas from loose concepts to a polished, professional system.
You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at my professional workflow in Illustrator and InDesign, starting with words to define brand personality, gathering inspiration through moodboards, creating logos, and assembling a complete brand guide. Then we’ll translate those same principles into Canva, where you’ll learn to upload and organize logos, set your color palette and typography, and create a one-page brand sheet.
Through guided exercises, you’ll put these steps into practice by creating your own Canva brand kit. You’ll also learn how to implement your kit across marketing materials—social media posts, presentations, and print—so your work stays consistent and on-brand. We’ll wrap with Q&A.
By the end of this workshop, you will:
- Understand the core components of a professional brand kit and why they matter.
- Learn a repeatable process for creating brand visuals with strategy and intention.
- Gain hands-on experience building a brand kit in Canva.
- Know how to apply your brand kit consistently across all platforms and materials.
- Leave with a complete brand kit and resources to keep elevating your work from DIY to PRO.
